Just before returning the car at the end of the subscription, we’ll need to do a short inspection with an external inspector from TÜV Süd. With MILES, we offer you two options for the final inspection: either at one of the 100+ TÜV Süd partner stations throughout Germany (for free), or directly at your location (one-time 199€ fee). After the inspection, we will pick up the car, and the subscription will be finished.
Please note:
- We will contact you about four weeks before the end of your car subscription to organize the return of your MILES. You can specify if you prefer a pickup at your location (199€) or to drive it yourself to a nearby TÜV Süd station (free).
- The vehicle must have the same fuel level or charge level when it is returned as when it was handed over.
- At the return time, an independent final appraisal will be carried out. A few days after the TÜV Süd assessment, we will share the final report with you, in which we highlight the differences between the handover and return protocols. If there were any damages beyond normal use, we will offset each damage with the deductible of your vehicle in our final invoice.
- Please note: the deductible applies to each reported damage or accident and per case. If applicable, we might charge for extra kilometers if the car was driven beyond the included amount.
