The first thing to do is to get yourself to safety and make sure that your passengers are okay.
- If anyone is injured, please provide first aid and call the emergency services on 112.
- Put on a safety vest and secure the accident site with hazard warning lights and a warning triangle.
- Then inform the police under 110
- Afterwards, contact our support immediately by phone (+493083794447). The number can also be found on the business card. We will tell you what to do next.

Good to know:
If another party is involved in the accident, you can assist our support by already having collected the data of the opposite party as soon as you report the accident to us by phone.
Police & support are informed. What happens next?
As soon as you have reported the accident, you will receive an accident report by email. Please fill out the accident report truthfully and send the completed document back to us within 3 days.
For the accident report, please take the following photos for documentation:
- Accident scene
- MILES vehicle (all 4 sides)
- Opposing vehicle incl. license plate or the accident object (fence / bollard / other obstacle)
- Photo of the police file number
Important:
- Every accident must be reported. Please always inform the police (110) and our support immediately. If you do not report an accident to us, you may be charged a penalty fee and the full cost of the damage incurred.
- The assessment of whether damage has actually occurred is the sole responsibility of MILES.
- The question of guilt will be clarified exclusively by the legal department & the insurance company.
